A Small Step For a Company, A Giant Leap Towards a Greener Future at ACL Impex
1. Purchase of Recycling Bins (05/05/2020): In a continuous pursuit of more sustainable practices, our company took a significant step by acquiring recycling bins strategically placed at the entrances of the headquarters. This initiative not only facilitates the selective collection of generated waste but also promotes environmental awareness among employees and visitors.
Waste Reduction: The implementation of recycling bins encourages proper waste separation, facilitating recycling and reducing the company’s waste footprint.
2. Replacement of Plastic Cups with Paper Cups (28/06/2021): Within our mission to reduce environmental impact, a substantial transition took place in the catering area. Plastic cups in coffee machines were replaced with more ecological alternatives – paper cups.
Reduction of Plastic: This change contributes to a decrease in the use of disposable plastic, reducing pollution and environmental impacts associated with plastic.
3. Water Machines to Replace Plastic Bottles (16/09/2021): Recognizing the importance of reducing single-use plastic consumption, we introduced water machines as an alternative to plastic bottles, using paper cups just like those in the coffee area. Now, employees can enjoy the convenience of drinking water without generating unnecessary waste.
Elimination of Plastic Waste: By opting for water machines instead of plastic bottles, we contribute to reducing plastic pollution and promoting sustainability.
4. Installation of Solar Panels (20/11/2023): Committed to utilizing renewable energy sources, we invested in installing solar panels on our premises. We signed a contract to install 102 photovoltaic panels by the end of 2023, reducing 46% of the grid’s electricity consumption, with an annual production of 300,000 kWh. This measure not only reduces our carbon footprint but also underscores our dedication to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.
Clean Energy: Solar panels provide a renewable energy source, reducing dependence on non-renewable sources and minimizing the environmental impact associated with energy production.
